Didn't know if anyone else has be experiencing issues while fast forwarding.  While fast forwarding, mainly thru commercials, the fast forward will stop.  The timer at the bottom will stop, the picture will go out (blank screen except for the timer bar), and it acts like it's frozen.  To get it to go again I hit the pause or play a couple of times and it goes back 3 or 4 seconds then I have to hit FF again to continue.  This seems to only started in the last week or so.

Due to our power company not seeming to have reliable power (the power was out yesterday for 5 minutes or so) everything has been reset but still seem to have the issue.  Any ideas?  Anyone else with this issue?

Edit: This is on the STB in our bedroom.  Have not been able to duplicate it on the DVR and the picture and stats are fine.

I have seen this issue on and off since I got Uverse about a year ago. I have not figured out a fix. I don't seem to see the screen go black though. It just stops. going to play for a second or so seems to fix it. It seems like it may happen on program changes.

I have seen that black screen doing fast forward and rrew of recorded programs, also.  It happened for awhile and stopped, but recently it has started again.  With all of the rebooting of the rg as of late, I suspect that att must be launching a lot of update/upgrades.  I hope they will release an update that will fix this problem.

FF stopping actually was a phase 2 bug that did not affect everybody and ATT is suppossedly coming

up w/a fix.  Have never had it happen here and I record just about everything I watch so I can go thru

all the commercials.  Have to wonder if it's affecting just coax installs as I'm all cat5e/ethernet patch

cable. :smileysurprised:

That is a good question.  It would be good if someone posted if they are experiencing that issue and they have Cat5 wiring.

Ya know I was just thinking about this and wondering if the splitter I have (the 1000 Ghz) could be causing this issue.  Don't have the new 1500 Ghz HPNA one.  But if that was the problem wouldn't this have been a problem since day one?

Just thinking out loud here.  What do you all think?

The problem is the bad ones work for a number of months then start going bad, why ?  These are the

splitters they installed since 2007 til about early summer 09 when they started going bad, many after

the phase 2 download.  They now install/replace w/the 1500Mhz (1.5G) and on replacement usually do

the diplexer many times too. :smileywink:
