Hey all, I just got UVerse this past Monday. I have 4 boxes. I already had Dsl and Dish through SBC. I am wondering if anyone else is having a prblem with their tv / internet freezing up? I have been on the phone with them daily since Monday and a tech has come out here 4x's now. One night it froze up every 20 minutes and would stay that way for about 3-4 minutes. changing channels didn't help. They have changed the ends of the cables, and a lady today told me it has to be the wiring. A tech last night who was here at 6 pm said he reset the modem back to factory settings..but it froze up 2 x's this afternoon already. he also said if that wasn't it, then it would be the modem. I give up..I have told them already if by Monday it isn't fixed, the are gonna come back out and hook up my satellite and recievers again and put me back with dsl..they said no problem...I also told them I won't pay for them to hook it all back up again. This is a free trial for 30 days. Alreadt..6 of them have been awful. I do like the picture..the clarity and the dvr and the fact that it don't go out when it rains like satellite..it hasit's good points and I have given it plenty of time to get~fixed~ or have I??? I'm frustrated to say the least..and another note..the yahoo dashboard dosen't seem to work with UVerse Internet either..I thought it would. I did go get a free anti-virus program anyway, but wanted to use the features I had cuz after all it is ATT services. Any ideas? Advice?? I'd soooo much appreciate it!!! Thanks, TxAngel

Hi, I'm not sure what that is, but 1 tech came out here and replaced a cable to the back of the main tv(with the dvr) with HD cable..said that would make lines go away on the tv..as of last night, I have spoken to another tech guy..said they found literraly tons of errors between my house and their box..so someone is coming out today. Also..the lines were back last night AGAIN and it froze up 3 more times which prompted me to call them again. Not to mention this morning it was down as well for a few minutes..hope that means they are already out working on it cuz there is a major problem here. I've also been told that the ends need to be clean so there is no interference..so I dunno..we'll see what they do today. They said for the guy to call teir 2 as soon as he gets here for the info..seems there's much more going on with their stuff than mine. I really like Uverse except for this..and I've had cable, and dish. So, I hope the figure it out..if not, we'll go back to dish.

Well make sure and ask the tech if your are using HDMI or Component...if he says HDMI, ask him to replace it with the Component cables. He will provide Component, as HDMI connections have been causing many issues with Uverse. I'm glad they found the errors between your house and their box, that should help alot if they get that fixed.

Hi guys, Well..this morning the guy came out at 9:30..he was here until 4...said the wiring was really bad from house to their box and errors all over the place. They put it on a new port and it went bad, then they did another..had to redo everything. He said they should have checked all this before they even started. So far tonight it hasn't frozen once..BUT....I still have the lines on the living room tv and my bedroom. called him back and he said call them again tomorrow if still a problem and he'll come on out and check the cables in the house and the attic...So I may be doing that..I think the picture should be clear..not with wavy lines every few seconds. He really worked on this...they have to come out in a few days and bury the new cable. Maybe I'm being too picky..but I want a clear picture and it is..but those faint wavy lines are annoying. So,I 'll call him back out tomorrow probably!! Boy..this week has been rotten with this..but I aim to keep it..I hope. I'll be calling billing and tell them I better get a credit for the week. I did the 30 day free trial but will probably get a bill ahead anyway..so they can give me a free week off that..maybe more if it acts up anymore..but so far..no freezing!! Keep your fingers crossed!!! Any ideas on the wavy faint lines???? Thanks guys!!! TxAngel

All I can say is there should be no wavy lines...all of mine are very clear, and I have all old SDs (1 HD). Hope they can get it fixed for you. If they say the wiring is bad, did they do Cat5 from your NID to your RG? That does not need to be buried like coax (I'm assuming that is what you have?).

Hey! Yep..I have Cat5..asked one guy last week..he said yes..was already like that, and the guy today said same thing...so it is. The cable is a new line? Going from my house(phone box on house in backyard) to the box in neighbors yard catty corner from me. So..maybe I should call him back out tomorrow then? He had said something about a radio frequency interferring, but have no clue as to where/why that would be...he was guessing. Yep..I'll call him back tomorrow..I want CLEAR!!!! Linda TxAngel
