This is true. AT&T will be raising the prices, its going to be sometime within the next 4 months. There is no set due date yet, but it has been confirmend that ATT is going to raise the prices but its not going to be a rediculous amount. Will not charge for THDVR, just for the STBs
Uh, before making a sweeping statement like you have, you might want to check out the actual facts first. http://utalk.att.com/utalk/board/message?board.id=Uverse_TV_Programming&thread.id=25517 http://utalk.att.com/utalk/board/message?board.id=Uverse_TV_Programming&message.id=26106#M26106 Beginning February 1, 2009, the monthly rates for the following services will be adjusted as outlined below. Please note, you may not be subscribing to all of these services: - If you are currently being billed $5 a month for an additional AT&T U-verse non-DVR receiver, the new price will be $7 a month, per receiver.
- The Movie Package will increase from $15 to $20 per month.
- Paquete Español will increase from $10 to $15 per month.
https://uverse1.att.com/un/launchAMSS.do?target_action=SelectOffer&categoryId=WEB1 Just click on any package for details and you will see the info on the right, towards the bottom. Message Edited by Pip on 01-06-2009 03:38 PM

So, from what I see they are going to be raising prices, it 2 dollars... but its a price increase regardless of the amount. I did say that the increase in price was not going to be major, right. The projected date is set for feb, and they also said that they where going to have all VOD issues fixed by the first of jan, and as many have noticed it has not been resolved in all areas. I

You "forgot" to mention the increase for the Spanish package and also the increase for the Movie Package. Next 4 months? I am guessing that you supposedly work for AT&T, from the sound of your posts, and it's obvious that AT&T hasn't notified their employees yet of what exactly is happening and when. People have gotten the postcard notices in the mail and the website has had it listed also for well over a week. If you are going to make statements like the one above, you need to make sure of the actual facts first, if you are going to come across as saying it like, hey people, this IS a fact!

Yes i do work for ATT, lol i did not forget about all the price increases, i just did not put that info on here. we do have an exact date, just can recall the exact date. sounds like im some of you mad, not my intention at all. i came on this forum to learn what actual customers experience, and to see if i could learn what are common problems that are experienced. I can get an exact date of when all of these price changes will take effect, I dont remember of the top of my head. there are going to be other changes which i belive that will upset customers. There are many cool fetures that are beign developed as well.

he's right, nothing is free. from what i know there is no additional fee for having THDVR, however it is not avail in all areas, im sure that within the package you pay for its already included within the charges.
According to Channel 400,THDVR is available in all areas. "AT&T Total Home DVR is available in all U-verse markets"

That is probably the case Phaz. I'm sure if it wasn't, someone would let us know about it!

The most common problem U-Verse customers experience is being unable to get a correct answer from an AT&T employee. Don't take that personally, I am not referring to you. But I am very serious in that accusation. I used to think that Radio Shack employees were clueless, but they're geniuses by comparison. There's easily 1 out of 10 posts here on this forum of "I called tech support about ______ and they 1) didn't know 2) gave me a BS answer 3) gave me a wrong answer 4) intentionally lied to get me off the phone 5) told me the opposite of what the other tech guy said 6) hung up on me". It's an unrefutable fact that most of your sales and tech people know virtually nothing about the U-Verse product. The premises techs are usually an exception, because they install it, but even for most of them, their knowledge is limited to exactly the U-Verse equipment installation. They generally don't know anything about networks, AV systems as a whole, or idiosyncracies of the U-Verse product. You want to seriously improve the U-Verse product? Start by recognizing your most common customer problem -- your own training.
