It is not like we really have a choice though. If we did have a choice, for obvious reasons I would choose FTTP without question.

It seems like I'm noticing a pattern here; we were pretty much thinking we were "promised" FTTP and we're getting FTTH FTTN? During a service call today, I was told that I have an "old" RG and that it or the coax (might be leaking signals) are the problem of my pixelation/freezing. It sounds like that is in line with what I had read, we are having to settle for old technology, when we are supposed to be getting the newest, the best? Not all customers are stupid...

FTTP and FTTH are the same thing.
As for the older RG, both FTTP and FTTN are using the same RG's (AFAIK anyways), they are replacing revision 26 with revision 28 RG's.

A question about your post. Did you mean: promised FTTP and we're getting FTT N? And I agree. we should be getting the latest technology.
