called in just now, and got it implemented in 5 minutes!

If you call in, and ask, they will give you a 10 dollar credit for 6 months, if you have voice and tv as well..

download speed so far is around 17200, and uploads are the same, around 1454 for me, in the SW suburbs of Chicago 

I ordered the Max 18 yesterday via AT&T U-verse central and today my account says I have it.  I originally had Max 10 and I am now only seeing speeds of down/up 13626/1317.  With Max 10 I was getting a little over 9000 down.  I have tried power cycling my RG and still I get the same speeds.  I will give it a little while and then give them a call if I don't see speeds closer to 17mbps.

I am located in Greenwood MO. 

Ok I was using speedtest.net and hitting the Kansas City server which is closest to me.  I switched to the Springfield server and tested again and now I am getting 17188/1420.  I am happy now :-)

Update:  Today I was able to order Max 18 and it came active all by itself -- no config or reboot required.   My profile did not change, still profiled at 25 megabits (synched at 49 megabits).  I ordered on the website and am now paying $65/month.  I am Internet only and I think the discounts are only for bundled users, so I didn't bother calling and begging.

Speed tests are a little disappointing:  less than 15 megabits.  Well maybe it's just not able to go that fast for some reason.

Had to make a 2nd call - but now I'm up on Max 18!  AT&T assures me my bundle price is intact.  On the 2nd call the speeds went up whlie I was on the phone with the rep.  

 Not too shabby.
