Been working with menu formats for past 5 days, on the phone with techs (ATT won't just send someone out if they think it's a tv hardware issue) - very frustrated, do have very clear HD quality on my new 720P Plasma and 1080i LCD. My problem persists though with the the Menu info being stretched out so that vital info is cutt off the screen. This is also occuring when punching in channel numbers, and only half of them can be seen on the bottom left of my screen. The second part of my problem is that ATT is telling me I should be running on 1080P, but 1080i is the only option available. IF FULL PIXEL (Sony Bravia) is what I need to display and is related to any of this, the option is faded out on my choices. I'm having the same issues with my 720P Panasonic, but in this case there is no discusson of P or i. Am I missing something here? I don't see similar concerns voiced on the chat boards. Thanks for any helpful tips.

Let us know how you have things set up. Sounds like one of your sets is a Sony Bravia. Is that correct? I have 3 Sony Bravia's and have no issues with the picture being cut off. On the DVR/STB, what is selected for the aspect ratio? I have selected 1081i on high-definition screens On the TV under the Screen menu, what are your settings for the items listed below. My settings are in parenthesis Wide Mode (Full) Auto Wide (On) 4:3 Default (Off) Display Area (Normal) Message Edited by texasguy37 on 11-07-2009 12:22 AM

What cable are you using to connect the U-Verse STB to the TV? For HD, this needs to be a component cable (3x RCA, colored red-green-blue, labeled Y-Pb-Pr), or an HDMI cable (rectangular 19-pin connector). If you are using any other connection, it could cause the symptoms you're describing.

Thanks. It's not the picture being cut off, it's the lettering on the Menu/Guide screen, and as if the screen overlaps the horizontal edges. Same settings as you have, BUT why am I not seeing a selection for DISPLAY MENU so as to select NORMAL? Red/White/Blue composits are in place. An ATT Field Tech, "friend of a friend", told us that our DVIR is not reading the TV resolutions (sync issue?). When calling ATT, am being walked through everything I've already done - the techs simply pull up scenario troubleshoot solutions, and the proclaimed advanced TV Connect team simply pulls up a PDF of the Bravia's book from their files and pretty much perform a worthless read-a-long. The tech spent more time telling me how her tv works "at home." The other thing that is not allowing selection is the Full Pixel - it remains faded in all cases. What I haven't done (power outage 1.5 weeks ago blew my 50" Mitsubishi out that required the purchase of the Bravia) was reboot the Router officially. I did disconnect the router twice while reworking the area to install the Bravia (if this counts). As of this writing, the menu/guide screen is so large, the OP in Options on the upper left is cut out.
