Yes, that would be really cool.  And as a result, don't expect it anytime soon.

Thats more than you can say about the other service providers.  Better late than never.

Did I miss something?  Is this feature now available?  If it is, GREAT!  If not, how can you critize others for not delivering something you haven't.

Here's the thing I can't figure out. They are able to record 4 standard channels or 2 HD channels on DVR at same time........so why not show these same channels on the tv screen as true P-I-P?

They could, its just not supported in the software yet. They need to get all of Total Home DVR in place first before they can consider adding it, becuase the two overlap quite a bit and Total Home has first priority. The PIP would rely on alot fo the Total home code to work, but Total Home hasn't finished it full release yet. Two pahses down, only one more to go.

You know, when I signed up, I was assuming that PIP existed... I even told my wife it was in the package. heck, it is there in the software somewhere because you can see it (as pointed out already) in the browse feature... but there's also the new Sports/News multi-view and there are 4 streams involved in that process! So, why not be able to watch one HD and have the PIP be an SD signal?

This one seems to be a no-brainer that should be there already

I have a 9 year old 65" Mitsu TV.  I have a Zenith Digital TV converter STB.  I have been flipping back and forth between NASCAR and The Colts, the last two Sundays and my wife asked about PIP.  I was able to open up the picture from the DTV box in the small screen (on my local ABC affiliate) and had UV on the CBS affiliate.  The sound was from the PIP and not the main.  The Mitsu is sort of hard to use for PIP but it worked.

You know what they say when you 'assume' something.......

Pausing on the STB ain't rocket science. It's called 'record program'.
